printer won't connect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I own an Epson Stylus Color 440 and I never had any trouble with it's operation until now. When I attempted to print a document I had written on Works and had saved to my hard drive, instead of getting the printing menu I got an error message "No default printer selected. Use the Windows control panel to specify your printer". I did this several times but it still won't work, any suggestions?

Start, Setting, Printers, Select the Epson, riht-click with your mouse, and choose Set as default. http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/troubleshoot/print/index.html. Larry
