I want to ask how I can back up my emails in Outlook Express 6. The help file instructs to compact all folders but when I do that it saves them as .dbx files. When I try to open them Outlook does not recognise this file type, so I cannot retrieve them. Thanks

Have a look at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q270670 , me personally I use a third party software to back mine up.
