I have had this problem with my computer for along time, the problem is that when I play games (3D games mostly) my computer freeses after 5-15mins. I know is not a memory thing and not a heat problem becuase I tested...anyways I think I have figured out the problem its because my Geforce2 mx400 is using the same IRQ as my Soundblaster 5.1. And windows 2000 wont let me change the settings I have tried everything to change em please help me:(
Thanks Glen

Move the soundcard to a PCI slot that is not next to the AGP slot. Those slots use the same IRQ. Larry

Enter the BIOS setup.
See in Advanced settings or PCI settings if you can assighn IRQ's to a PCI slot. The best is to direct 9, 10, or 11 to the PCI soundcard. Obviously, give the sound and the videoboards a different irq!
