Do what it says. Put the Win 98 CD in your CD-ROM drive, hold the Ctrl key while booting up to get to the menu, boot to DOS, and run /Setup: C:\>D:\setup Where D: is your CD-ROM drive letter. Install in the C:/windows directory even if Windows advises installing it elsewhere; on top of the previous install. If the CD-ROM drive doesn't work... C:\edit autoexec.bat Remove the rem in front of the line with mscdex.exe in it. Repeat. If you can't get to the DOS prompt you will need to use/make a startup floppy (http://duxcw.com/digest/Fromshop/software/windows/startup/startup.htm) with driver that will work with your CD-ROM drive. Or, your computer may be able to boot directly to the CD-ROM, fro which you can run setup. Go into the CMOS Setup and see if the option is available, usually in the BIOS setup. Larry

Arhter, I forgot to mention, when booting to the CD-ROM drive, the CD-ROM drive becomes the A: drive. Just type setup; A:\>setup Larry
