Different between USB & Parallel for printer.

I bought a printer Xerox DocuPrint 8ex, it come with USB & Parallel port connection.
Which one is faster, USB or Parallel port?
what is the different between this 2 port?

The USB port is faster than a printer port. But that is not a measure of how fast the drivers or printer are. I have seen printers with both ports print faster from the parallel port than from the USB port. Larry
