i have an AMD 400 Mhz K6-2 processor, Shuttle HOT-59P motherboard,192 MB, 10 GB, Windows 98 and a Voodoo3 2000 PCI card. i mostly used this computer for gaming until my other system died. i then added a zip100 internal drive, and an internal cdrw to this computer. i then formatted it and installed windows ME. the computer has been running slow ever since and i cannot understand what would cause it.thank you, vince 1. If those drives are on the same cable as the hard disk, they can noticeably slow-down the hard disk. Be sure DMA is turned on for drives that support it. Larry
