Cpu fan not working

I just rebuilt a P600 system with a new DFI PA61 motherboard. Everything works fine but the cpu fan doesn't work at all. I tried a different fan and still nothing. Any ideas?

I have seen that problem before and it was caused by a defective motherboard from another manufacturer. Another possibility is that you have a loose screw under the motherboard or a standoff where it does not belong. A workaround would be to use a fan that plugs directly into a power supply drive cable. There are adapter cables that will adapt a three-pin fan (one that plugs into the motherboard) to a four-pin power supply connector. Larry
