pc133 memory

I am looking to buy pc133 memory. I have an Abit kt7 with an AMD 1ghz processor. I read on,http://www.icentral.com/html/1stchoicememory/page760.html, that certain memory modules are not compatitable with my chip. Something about 4 layer and 6 layer construction, 6 layer being the one for the athalon. With tumbling memory prices is is ok to by the cheaper memory modules to use in my system. I was either looking at getting 256 or 512 not sure.

Buying "cheaper" memory is your perogative. I would buy branded memory from a reliable source with a good customer reputation. There are a few good onine vendors mentioned in this forum. Larry

Got to agree there. I have tried generic memory, and it is well,,,,,, it generic. I have so much good ram laying around right now. Need to sell on ebay or simething.

I would be leery of any memory sold on ebay (or at computer fairs, etc.) by anyone other than deerslayer. Larry
