The computer might tell you at the top of the screen when you first turn it on. Otherwise, look at the motherboard. If it is a recent motherboard (last three years or so) there should be one or two large, square chips besides the CPU. Most of them have two: Northbridge and Southbridge chips. Older boards may have more than two. What is stamped on the chips? There are other ways of determining it… Larry
