Geforce3 Ti 200 needs a boost?!

Ok, I somehow managed to get one of the $99 Geforce 3 Ti 200 on Friday after Thanksgiving, and I have having trouble getting it to work as well as it should. I am running the Detonator 2.1.8.3 driver. I know 4 is out there, and is better, but I am just using this one as a control to find out if my tweaking stuff is helping or hurting. What could be the problem? With Anti-Aliasing off, Unreal Tournament is hardly better at 800x600 than my ATI Radeon VE was. On 3D mark 2001, the Nature sceane was pathetic (16-18 FPS). All in all, the card is running about equall to my Radeon VE, which, of course, is nothing to brag about (For gaming anyway, Hydravision rocks!).

AMD Athlon 1.20 Ghz (200 mhz FSB)
Biostar M7VIB (VIA 266)
Visiontek Geforce3 Ti 200
Soundblaster Live
256 MB PC1600
30 Gig 7200 Wester Digy (Defraged)
Windows 2000 Pro

with that setup you should be able to run all games @ 1600x1200 no problems. Make sure you went to add/remove programs and uninstalled the radeon drivers. Boot into safe mode, see if all instances of the radeon are gone in device manager under display adapters. Reboot.
Right click on desktop, settings, advanced, geforce 3, here it will show you all the drivers being used. Make sure it says 21.83. Also go in d3d settings and open gl and make sure vsinc is off. It sounds to me like the driver is not installed right or there are some Radeon ghosts in there. Let us know if this helps.
