I have looked around the sites and forums but didn't find anything definitive. Can I upgrade from 900MHz Athlon to XP 1500 ?MB: MSI K7T Turbo
Chipset: VIA KT133A
The board supports 133MHz FSB.
Recently updated to latest BIOS (ver3.2) from MSI site. Documentation claims that the board will support up to 1800 .
Also, even if it works, will the processor be limited in any way? I could probably get a regular Athlon 1.4 GHz for roughly the same price but I would rather get the 1500 . I can't afford to upgrade my motherboard AND my processor but I want more speed. Thanks.
