Am trying to post for the first time on a computer that I am building. No drives are connected yet, the only items are the video card, and DDR ram. It is an Epox 8kha+ mb with an Athlon 1800xp cpu. The mb starts posting but the video I see is vertical columns and nothing that is ledgible. Are there any suggestions?

It’s probably the monitor. If it can’t be adjusted (horizontal or refresh frequency), I would suggest trying another display adapter to get things going. Larry
