Boot Problems-Dual Proc Mobo

Does anyone know of any problems booting winXP on a dual-processor motherboard? I believe the mobo is an MSI and is using amd chipsets. I can get more info if needed. Apparently Win 98 will boot up fine with this setup.

If its XP Home Edition it wont boot up as Home edition does not support dual processors, you need Win2k Pro or XP Pro. In addition Windows 98 doesn't support dual processors either, the only thing that will is NT and *nix boxes with Win2k and XP Pro being versions of NT.

Ok , The mobo is a MSI k7d Master with dual AMD MP 1900 processor's in it. The version of xp is professional.
I had him try to use the boot disk option and then start setup from a dos prompt. He was getting an error message saying that CD was not readable from DOS.
I had him FDISK /mbr, Re FDISK and set up a new active partition with the whole HD, and then format /s the entire HD and try again.
Any other suggestions would be helpful.
