Upgrading processors

Hello one and all,
I have some queries regaring upgrading a processor, at the moment i have upgraded my PC to the hilt; installed another HDD as a slave, increased memory, etc, but i am somewhat weary of upgrading my processor, at present i have a 333Mhz AMD K6-2 processor ( ancient i know but it was top of the range quite a few years ago when i bought it as new!!! ) so...
A) How do i find out the maximum speed processor i can install?
B) Do i need to upgrade my motherboard ( another scary problem )?
C) Can i use a AMD DURON processor in place of the K6-2?
D) Should i just give up and try and talk the other half into letting me buy a new pc?

From the motherboard manufacturer’s web site.

That’s up to you. Depending on the motherboard(?), you may have to upgrade the case. You will need a new power supply, memory, and CPU fan.

No.

Yes. Give her yours. Or use stealth (search this forum with stealth for a definition and techniques—try the site search to the left).
