I have an old PC with two floppy drives. A:\ is a 5 1/4 and B:\ is 3 1/2. I tried to change the CMOS so that the 3 1/2 would be A: but it doesn't work. I also tried to disconnect the 5 1/4 and leave the 3 1/2 alone but still nothing. Any suggestion??? Thanks! 2. The 3 ½” floppy drive might be a 720 Kbyte instead of a 1.44 Mbyte drive. Plug the very end of the floppy cable into the 3 ½” drive, the end with the twist. You may need to get a new cable if there is no 3 1/2 “ connector at the end, just past the twist. Larry 3. The 3 1/2" is a 1.44 Mb will your solution still work? 4. RE: I want to get rid of a 5 1/4 floppy drive lbyard Aug-06-01 06:04 PM In response to message 3
We won't know that until you try it. It should. Larry 5. RE: I want to get rid of a 5 1/4 floppy drive gazou Aug-24-01 04:24 PM In response to message 4
