I have a Toshiba 16xDVD/48XCD. According to the instruction it doesn't need any driver to load it. My cd works okay but I haven't tried the dvd yet. Do I need a WinDVD 2000 in order to play its DVD? My computer has hardware DVD accelerator according to its main features. However I read some article that says dvd also need decoder. What is a decoder, an accelerator, and playback application? It's kinda confusing. Can you please tell me what I really need. Also if you can recommend an inexpensive kind aside from WinDVD2000. Thank you very much. Dan 1. Try putting a DVD in and see if it plays. Your computer or Graphics Card software may already have a DVD Player.
