How can I connect my Laptop HD to my desktop

Is there a shell that i can buy that will allow me to connect a HD for my CompaqM700 to my desktop? With the M700 you can easily remove your HD and replace it with another.

My vendor does not sell retail. Here is a converter:http://www.directron.com/nbadapter.html. I have not used this vendor. I am sure that search engines would find more. Larry
