Hello,I have a Toshiba Portege 3410 with an Archos MiniDVD. (OS is Win ME, 128 MB RAM, Savage IX 8MB video memory, Intel 82440MX motherboard, PowerDVD MPEG2 decoder SW)
Since I bought the DVD I have tried to get it to work as a DVD player. CDs work just fine, though.
The problem seems to be that I can not turn on DMA for this drive. (The device manager sees the MiniDVD as a CDROM and the check box for turning on DMA does not even exist.)
Is this a question of incompatible hardware or is it a software configuration problem?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Regards,
Håkan
