I finish to work. Next day I start my omputer and no hard disk present. I turn it of and power it aigain. I heard noise (ka ka kaka) from it. Someone told me virus can damage the hard disk engine. Is it possible? Can I repair it? 1. RE: Noise from my hard disk lbyard Dec-26-01 08:05 PM In response to message 0
Possible, but it more likely that the drive failed. What drive is it? Larry 2. RE: Noise from my hard disk ekajohn Dec-26-01 11:26 PM In response to message 1

A Virus CANNOT damage or destroy an engine, but can corrupt your hard drive's BIOS. If so, it becomes USELESS. It can also be a failure due to wearing out. Both cases are unrepairable.Victor
