Installing an external floppy disk drive on a lap top

Hi
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook B110 supplied with no O/S, no floppy disk drive or CD-ROM
How do I install a floppy disk drive or a PCMCIA cd-rom drive from DOS - the only thing I do have loaded!!!
At the moment I have a totally useless machine cos I can't do anything with it.
Keep it simple, that's me when it comes to this kind of stuff
