Hi, I've just fit a 10Gig HDD into my system, I've fdisked it and split it into two partions. 50% each. I assumed that I would get 5gig each but I haven't, what I've actually got is 4.877.38gig each. Is this normal. I'd appreciate it if anyone could clear up this mystery for me. thankyou Decca

A formatted partition is smaller than the raw size because the formatting info takes up space. Larry
