Zip Drive Data Stability

Does anyone have any information / experience of the long-term stability of data on Zip disks?
If I store data on a zip drive, and store it sensibly (like not on top of the monitor or next to the washing machine) can I expect my data to be retrieveable in 1, 2, 5 years time...

I don't know about 5 years, but I have some zips that are ok and were made more than 2 years ago. I would guess that they will still be ok for three more years as I have floppy disks that were made 10 or more years ago that are still OK. Of course, the slightest magnetic field can wipe them out.
