I want to buy a cd Writter but looking Creatives, and HP home pages all the CDW that they offer needs al least a pentium 200,
so.. if i buy it do you think it will run.. do you recomend me some one?

They may work OK, but obviously, slower than they would in a 200 Mhz computer. However, it is possible that there could be timing problems. Also, most CD drives now have high-speed ATA/33 or ATA/66 interfaces and your computer does not have either. The drives will therefore run even slower than they would in computers with ATA/33 or ATA/66. I lean towards HP products in this area, but may select another one for a computer I am building for a customer from a different manufacturer (e.g., AOpen) after investigating what is currently available. It may be time to consider a new computer or a new motherboard, CPU, and memory? That is where I would be putting my money, first. Sorry, I couldn’t provide a more definitive answer. Larry
