CD AutoRun Creation

How is the CD Autorun Created?
I have a program that will create a slideshow from a bunch of digital photos. To start it double click the EXE file. But I have some friends that are not PC lit. Do only expensive programs create the autorun?

Use notepad, etc. to make a AUTORUN.INF file containing:

OPEN=program.exe
Where index.html is any executable file (program.html should work if a web browser is installed) or program. The program can be specified with a path, such as:
path\program.exe
Where path is a directory relative to the root directory of the CD, a folder on the CD.
Place AUTORUN.INF in the root directory of the CD. It works somewhat like an AUTOEXEC.BAT file on your hard disk, except that it is executed in the Windows GUI environment. Larry
