I want to do a clean install of winme on a new HD using a Winme upgrade CD. I have win98se (and startup floppy). I DO NOT WANT to have to install Win98se then upgrade to ME. The only thing I would accept is if I have to put the Win98se CD in for verification that I own a valid copy of Win98se. Can an upgrade CD of Winme be used to install a full version of Winme? 1. I have heard and read of alot of nightmare stories with ME installs. I did a clean install on a bare drive ( partitioned) a while ago and had all kinds of crashes, bugs, running slow etc. Got tired of it and went back to SE. Last week I did an upgrade to ME, saved my 98se settings in case I had the same problems. So far it has been running fine, no problems, slow downs. ( so far) 3. I have had no significant problems with Me installs so far. The have gone better than SE and 98. Larry
