RE : Install WIn98 SE

Hi,
I had a virus and then it deleted some windows files and now I cannot get windows up again.
I rebooted from the floppy and now want to reinstall windows 98SE.
Please can you tell me how to go about this install.

This may or may not work, but I would attempt to install windows on top of windows from the cab files on the hard disk…
Boot to the DOS floppy
A:\>cd windows\options\cabs
A:\windows\options\cabs>setup /ie
The /ie flag tells windows not to make a startup floppy
After it gets going the Windows setup will probably find that windows has already been installed in
C:\windows
and will try to get you to install it in
C:\windows.000
Edit that back to
C:\windows
And ignore the resulting warning
