RE : Windows 2000

Hi,
I have Win98SE and want to install the Win2000, can I install it over the existing Win98SE.
Also will Win2000 solve the problem of seeing hard drives of 20gig or greater.

Yes, but I prefer a clean install. See the Win 2K documentation and:

Most likely, if Windows 98SE has the problem. It is usually caused by an old motherboard BIOS. See http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/8point4.html. Win 2K may still have a problem if the BIOS has the LBA function. See MSKB 254769, Hard Disk Is Misreported as Eight Gigabytes in Size During Setup

why would you want to install over 98 ?
That always causes problems , i would format, and install nice and fresh ..... using NTFS for my file system.....
yes 2K sees drives larger than 20GB........
