Win95 Upgrade To Win98 With Full Edition Of Win98(URGENT)

Hi,
I Have Windows 95 Running On A System But Need To Put The Full Edition Of Windows 98(Non Upgrade Version) On The System Without Formating The Hard Drive, I Know You Delete Some Files But Cant Remember Which Can You Please Help.

I have the same problem. I remember one could remove a number of files and the oem install could be used on an existing o/s. I removed the hidden system files, no luck. Removed win.com too. I tried the /win98/setup /ntldr, that didn't work either, same message, basically says I have to purchase an upgrade.
Any new ideas picked up? I know it can be done, but it's been a long time. I don't want to loose the files on the drive.

I finally got it to work. I don't know if it was necessary to remove the hidden files or not, but re-naming win.com was not enough. What finally made it was to rename win.ini to something else. Then I no longer got the message about an existing o/s. It is now installing now.
Hope things worked out for you or anybody else with this problem.
