PartMagic 4.0 and NT

I am running Win 98 on my laptop. I have a copy of PartMagic 4.O and would like to create a dual boot. I was told that NT must be loaded before 98 for this to work. Is there anyone out there than can walk me through this? If this is not possible then I would like to convert my laptop to NT. I am not sure how to go about removing 98 and istall NT if this is my only option.
