Why are some of my programs highlighted in yellow? I find it rather annoying. I thought it was highlighting the new programs, but the same ones stay highlighted no matter how often I run them.
Also, I heard XP supported multiple desktops (similar to KDE & Gnome). Can anyone confirm this (and tell me how to turn them on)?
Thanks in advance

This isn't what I was asking about...
I've heard that XP supports multiple desktops (ie, 4 buttons on the taskbar, each with a different desktop assigned to it). Is this true?

As I understand it, Windows NT, 2000, and XP have this capability built-in. Getting at it is another story (something I have not done). Apparently there was a set of PowerToys that allowed one to use the capability in Windows XP, but Microsoft has pulled the download. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
“Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (January 31, 2002 update) PowerToys will not be available today as previously stated here. We're sorry, because we know you like them a lot. PowerToys are currently being improved, and will be available for download in the spring.“
