Tugboat I am having difficulty loading win98 because of a swapable drive bay. Let me explain; I can start the system with the startup disk, and when I get the two options of "Startup with CDROM Support" or "Startup without CDROM Support" I first chose W/cdrom support. I got an error saying that the drive was not found and the CDROM load would be aborted. This makes sense since the system has a swapable drive bay and to start up I need the floppy drive in it. The CD ROM drive is not in the system nor connected to it. So then I tried to start w/out cdrom support and I did not get any errors during the start up but of course the cdrom drive was not recognized when I tried to access it. I used your boot disk proceedure. Thanks for any help you can give.

Then I guess you'll have to make the hard disk bootable (fdisk, format, and A:\SYS C: or format /s C:) and put the autoexec.bat, config.sys, CD-ROM driver, and MSCDEX.EXE on it. Larry
