I want to prepare a clean bootable floppy to download a BIOS and flash memory writer for my Pentium 166Mhz. Award suggests to prepare a clean floppy from Dos 6.0 WITHOUT the Autoexec.bat and Config.sys files, using the A:/s prompt. how does one do this? Thanks . 1. Do you have a set of MS-DOS 6.x floppies? If not, what version or Windows do you have? Larry 2. RE: Prepare a bootable floppy tinmanjohnny Mar-14-02 05:51 PM In response to message 1

Type ver in a DOS window. A bootable floppy made by putting a blank floppy in the floppy drive and using the Windows Explorer to right-click the drive, Format, and opting to transfer system files will work just fine. Larry
