sys resources; sys tray

OS: Win2000 Pro
#1 - I have removed an app (HP Writer) completely, as far as I can tell, but the icon for it is still in the system tray! When I right or left click on it I get no options. Can anyone tell me how to go in another way to remove this?
#2 - Where can I go to see my current system resources. I looked in System tools (thru the start button) but all I can find is the System Information... did I not dig deep enough?
