Start, Run, Settings, Control Panel, Network, remove, reboot. Still a problem... Control Panel, Sytem, Device Manager, remove any network adapter drivers (shouldn't be any). Still a problem, Start, Run, msconfig, system.ini and win.ini... comment-out the offending lines. Then there is the Windows registry... Start, run, regedit, help, backup, search...I would persist in trying to obtain and install the driver.
