How to Network Two Windows 95/98
Computers

SHARE YOUR PRINTER
You
can pretty much use the same procedure you used to share your disk drives
to share your printers...
 Open
the Windows Explorer, click on Printers in the left panel, right click on
the desired printer, and select sharing. This can also be done by clicking
Start, Settings, Printers, etc. Or, double-clicking My Computer on
the Desk Top, Printers, etc. I'm sure there are other ways to open
the window to the right. Just select Shared As and give
your printer a new Share Name if you don't like the one automatically
assigned by Windows. Add a password if you want to restrict access
within the workgroup. Click Apply and OK.
The first computer is done.
Set-up
the second computer just like this one... except give it a different
computer name. Be sure to use the same exact workgroup name and that
it has at least one protocol installed and bound to its network adapter
like the one installed on this computer. They can't talk to each
other unless they are speaking the same network language = protocol.
