Computer Memory Products

As
I sell Crucial Memory Products, this article is both a review
and a plug. My company, Dux Computer Works, has been
in the business of building, upgrading, fixing, and networking
computers, and selling them and computer components since
1987. Anyone who has done this can tell you that some
of the biggest headaches in the retail computer business
are memory-related. Prices fluctuate, there are often
shortages, and some memory is just plain bad or breaks a
few months after it is installed. It can be difficult
to find the correct memory for a particular computer or motherboard
and installed memory from no-name and even some brand name
manufactures can be time consuming to identify. Shipping
costs can be significant especially if one has to order it
separately from another vendor because the vendor you ordered
all of the other stuff from to complete a job was out-of-stock. Defective
memory can be difficult to troubleshoot and returning it
can be expensive and time consuming. All of these problems
disappeared when we started using Crucial memory.
Here are the advantages:
Crucial is a division of Micron, the
largest DRAM manufacturer in America and one of the top three
in the world. You are purchasing top drawer, name-brand
memory when you buy from Crucial. Buying direct saves
you money.
There are no middle men handling the memory. I
have often suspected that many of memory problems we have
experienced in our shop were caused by improper handing and
packaging by vendors. In particular, I do not think
proper anti-static procedures were always employed.
A hard to beat 30-day return policy and
limited lifetime warranty. They have a toll-free
(in the U.S.A. and Canada) customer service (RMA) line
or contact them via E-mail. If the product is found
to defective and it's Crucial's fault, they will pay for
the shipping to send it back them.
Wide selection of products. Crucial
has over 94,000 upgrades for more than 15,000 different computers,
notebooks, servers, and electronic devices. Crucial
guarantees that the memory you buy will be 100% compatible
with your system or your money back. The Memory Selector,
above, makes it easy to find what you need.
Competitive pricing. They aren't
the cheapest, but the quality is high. If you want
to know more about the kinds of problems that can occur from
using cheap memory, check our Forums for
an ear full.
Fast order processing. Depending on
availability, orders processed by 12:00 p.m. MT, Monday through
Friday, will be shipped out same day!
Free Federal Express Second Day Air shipping on
any order of $40 or more shipped to an address within
the contiguous US (US territories, Hawaii, and Alaska are
not included).
