Q. How do I access the CMOS setup utility
for a Compaq computer?
A. Older computers, like the Deskpro 286 or 386, use Diagnostics disk like
older IBM and some clone computers. Place the floppy in the drive, reboot
the computer, and choose computer setup from the menu.
For newer computers, like the ProLinea, Deskpro, Deskpro XL, Deskpro XE, or
Presario, turn on the power and press the F10 key when the cursor appears in
the upper right hand corner of an otherwise blank screen. The screen happens
right after the Compaq splash screen and 2 beeps while booting-up.
