How to Change the Windows ICS Dial-up Disconnect Timeout Value

Q.  When I use Internet Connection Sharing I, always get cut off after 5/6 minutes...?

A.  Run regedit (Start, Run, enter regedit), read help on backing up the registry and back-it-up. Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE tree by clicking plus signs to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\
ICSharing\Settings\General

Double click the HangUpTimer key and change its Value from 300 seconds (five minutes) to the desired value.
