Q.  Are you hosting your web site or paying some web hosting company?

A.  The cost of hosting my own site would prohibitive, it would not be as well connected, would not be regularly backed-up, is vulnerable to a local catastrophe, I would not be able to go away for a weekend without constantly worrying about it, etc. The idea of having your own host and having total control over it may be appealing to one's ego, but that is all it will do for you.
