Debbie, I just reread your message and know what is most likely wrong. Those dog gone card cages in the XXXX Compaqs have nasty habit of not seating properly when you put them back in. Look carefully; It's not back the way it should be. One of the metal lips at the bottom of the cage (I don't have one here to look at) didn't line-up properly--a poor descripton, I know, but it's late. Larry
