Steve, the problem could be caused by many things. Try to isolate it. Pull the network board and drivers and see if it goes away. Try renamming your config.sys and autoexec.bat files to see if there is a line in one of those files which is causing the problem. It could be an anti-virus program running out of memory. It could be bad memory. Try start, accessories, system tools, system information, tools, system configuration utility, startup and uncheck one-at-time and reboot. Or uncheck all of them and turn on one-at-a-time. Are you overclocking? It could be the display adapter. It could be an IRQ conflict. See:
