Actually when using the config.sys and autoexec mscdexe stuff I can get the cdrom to work. But windows still says the secondary IDE controller is not functioning.

Windows also says that there are no resource conflicts for this device.

Its a 440BX chipset and the standard Win98 440BX driver is lodaed along with the two dual fifo drivers for each IDE controller. Also a sound blaster IDE driver is loaded and I can't seem to get this one to go away. Windows keeps reinstalling it. Turning it off had no effect. I think it is being used by the SB32PnP ISA card but not sure. That is the only Sound Blaster device I have.

When I try to re-autodetect hardware it comes up on the list only because it is malfunctioning. It says it is already installed the drivers for it. It is using what I can tell is the standard IRQ of 15.
