Thanks, Larry. Looks like my mother is going to get my old 32MB Baby AT after I get my 450MHz K6-3 working.

I found this further advice on the FIC MoBo FAQ: "Although it is widespread, DIMMs and SIMMs should not be used together, since the output signal of 5V memories can damage 3.3V memories. After some period of time, the 3.3V chips might malfunction." www.fic.com/techsupport/faq/faqsgeneral.htm
