J - J - Jayne, You proably have an interrupt problem with your sound board. More than likely you have another board in the computer that is trying to use IRQ's 5 and 10, the same ones a lot of sound cards use. Try going into your CMOS setup, PnP, and changing the PnP Setup from Automatic to Manual and assigning IRQs 5 and 10 to Legacy ISA. Come back if that doesn't fix the problem. Larry
