I have a new Gateway computer with 2 hard drives, a CD-DVD drive, a CD-RW drive and a floppy drive. THe hard drives are Ultra ATA hard drives with an Ultra ATA 66 Controller.
I created a startup disk from the Add/Remove Programs -- Startup Disk option.
When I use the startup disk I cannot access either of my hard drives! Is anyone familiar with this problem or does anyone have a solution or work around to this problem.
Note: Gateway technical support told me I won't be able to access the hard drives using the boot disk because of "the nature of MS-DOS"!
I can access the CD-DVD, CD-RW, floppy drive and the Ram Drive
