Those speeds are pretty decent (see my review of the Epox MVP3G2 motherboard). Darn good if the drive is 5400 RPM. I would suggest going to the manufacturer of the ATA/66 board. Some drivers implement DMA when they install and do not give you the option of turning it on or off. Larry
