Delete the driver from the Device Manager and re-boot and let windows install it again! If the drive does not work to let windows install a new driver then try re-booting with the emrgency start disk! that should have a driver for the cd rom on it!
Note these type of problems of CD rom drives not working can be a pain as the files you most want are there to repair...
If the drive came with a driver that is probably the easiest to install as windows will look for the CD driver first unless you click on (Have Disk)
