Beats me, but I said that because the HP 5200C USB scanner has a USB problem with the MVP3 chipset and downloading a patch for the driver fixed it.
Have you installed the VIA USB Filter Driver (http://www.viatech.com/drivers/index.htm)?
Have your flashed the BIOS?
If the answer is yes, I can help no more as I do not have that printer.
