I'm afraid I can't help with PS3  info.  Other members might be able to help.

I have been told not to tuch the 40 gig vesion and check for 80 gig or 160 gig later because of the quality on the laser. Someone else told be it's only true with the first european batch of 40 gig.

I know this is a dead topic but had to respond. I still have a p2 400 with 98 on it, what a dinosaur! These days, a P4, 2g is the way to go with 2gb ram.

I had to give a small chuckle on the pricing. back in the days of Dos, it was a blessing when windows 3.1 then 3.11 concise(I still have that proggy still wrapped in the original plastic with the boot disk)

Heck, if you want to spend 300+ on an older computer, look at the local stores.... they have them now for 400 dollars, that has a p4 processor with all the goodies in it.

Sorry for babbling.

Nowadays, game consoles have dropped their price largely.
